Even if Kaltia is an orphan, those of the orphanage just turn into her new family. For they share the same bonds.
The gang just lets Kaltia shut off her brain and emotions, and just relish in blissful ignorance. (I.e Lets her live on auto-pilot, without worrying about consequences or the future.)

Here now we see perfectly Kalita's true self. Is a wounded girl, who tried to find somewhere to belong, but now everythign is changing in way she does not like. Debbie do have a point, why Kalita so desperately cling to the Roda-kira gang? Perhaps because she feel she has nothing else.
Yeah, why can't you leave the gang when it going so bad? It's a good question. Again Debbie is right that having a family is better that they are always with you even when friends are not.
You know, going over these past few pages or so, I have to wonder myself about what is the deal with Kalita. She clings hard to the biker gang like there is nothing else in the world for her, even when the gang has gone downhill for her under Gantus' rule. She lives at an orphanage. Also she is reacting to the news of Debbie's new family in a hostile and heavy-drama matter. Sure, part of it is that it means Debbie won't come back to help Kalita get the gang back from Gantus. But still, Kalita wildly adds on to that with her crazy disgust with marriage and having a family life. I have to wonder what sort of circumstances led Kalita to be like this. Why does she hate marriage and families? How and when did she get into the orphanage? How long was she at that place? What happened to Kalita's own family? There must have been something going on about her that chills me with saddness.

I have to agree with Debbie on the part about friends. A sad part about growing up is that most of the friends you'll meet throughout your life will grow a part and only a few will remain. Starting a family is something where you have a chance of choosing your life partner and have children who share the same ideals and morals than you or your spouse. She even makes a point that Kalita clinging to the Roda Kira Gang is self-destructive if she no longer feels happy with it. However, Debbie does not know how to make her point across without hurting Kalita. She speaks about family while forgetting that Kalita is an orphan. This pisses off Kalita and Debbie can only backtrack in apology as she realizes her mistake.
As for Kalita, it's complicated to see her point of view. Orphans have mixed feelings about family. It's more complicated if they are older as they won't be adopted. We are not sure if her parents are dead or she was abandoned, but it's clear that she had a rough past. The Roda Kira Gang is Kalita's first family since becoming an orphan and it hurts her to see it corrupted. She wants to see it back to its original state because that's how home should feel for her. Debbie moving on feels like Kalita is being abandoned, which fuels her anger and sadness. It doesn't justify her outburst or behavior, but it explains it.
