Pillars return to the sky and Ka makes the first vent art!
Speaking of edible flowers, yesterday I ate some sugary hibiscus flower thing! very interesting
--
I tried lots of new things here!, I found a way to quickly color the outlines based on the adjacent colors, I'm still figuring out what to outline and what not to, etc, but the time savings are still incredible (it took under 2h to paint all the backgrounds) :D

nope nope, THIS is my favorite page... I'm probably gonna keep eating my words as I revise that with every update
feral bird friend and their babies keeping Ka company as she draws the :( box. Actually it's fascinating to me that she would choose ":(" as a depiction of sorrow bc it shows that her cognitive development focused on the eye and mouth movements of those around her in regards to the tonal presence of a moment (bc i dont think she's seen herself yet), which I guess really isnt anything important to most folks(?) but idk I'm a lil social psychology nerd. :P
It also shows that she recognizes the human figure in said dream as being a non-furry entity, I wonder if that'll ever come up.
I wish I could have a version of that last panel that was textless bc boy fuck would I make that my desktop. It's so absolutely heartwarming. Lopa in the new style with them big ol' areolas, no-dick Moi, both of them with sticks, KA WITH A FLOWER IN HER HAIR??? I would die for you, Ka
also holy shit you did the background in 2 hours??? AND you found a way to do colored outlines easier?? please, oh wise sage, bestow upon us your divine wisdom!

:D very nice observations! Here is my process to color outlines quickly: https://prnt.sc/tzmkf7
1. do the thing, 2. blur the paint layer, 3. make the blured painted layer opaque, 4. get ready for 5, 5. clip the opaque blured painted layer to the outline, 6. darken, saturate, etc your outline, and put your original paint layer beneath it, and fix the colors of the parts you want like the eyes and nose in this case!, and your smart outlines are done!
For painting the background faster well I guess that's mostly experience and knowledge acquired through time.
Here's the last panel clean :·3

I'm growing into this change of art style!
Also, edible flowers. Delicious. Those must be some plump petals.
Also, also... It seems that they are starting to build things. I wonder how this tribal-like society will turn out! Hopefully they'll do well, they seem to have very good guidance.

compared to the previous page, I noticed some minor changes. And you know, they did the style good. The colors are chosen in such a way that you feel a moderate contrast, so the picture is moderately saturated, many authors have a problem with this, the colors are so contrasting that it hurts the eyes, this is not the case here. this also helped to create a sense of distance between the foreground and background, for example, I can put a scene where Ka begins to draw or where Gen and tan talk to each other, but not only the contrast created the effect of three-dimensional space, good border selection helps to clearly see the line between objects, which also helps in the construction of space, and of course the shadows did their job, clearly traced the shapes, relief of creatures and objects. unfortunately, it is not without its drawbacks, though, it's more my nitpicking, I wish the animal faces and the main characters were more detailed, I will explain in more detail: the moment when Ka begins to go down, she is not herself, face as if "flattened" at this moment there are no any emotions, and selegat and turned into a ball. personally, in my opinion, the colors, borders between objects and shadows turned out perfectly, and you don't need to experiment with them anymore, but you could still work with faces. And in conclusion, I can say, and I hope to repeat again: "trigaroo, as usual, you have created a masterpiece in the art world."
P.S. the author decides whether to listen to me or not.
