If I recall correctly, these pages are posted first onto Patreon (as part of the backers early access deal) then onto other sites like InkBunny and Furaffinity after. Now how long in advance? A month maybe? I imagine these pages take a while to draw. So I'm pretty sure Dai knew people would bring it up (or people on Patreon brought it up) and decided to have Kalita be the echo to the concern.

That said, Kalita is street smart and not book smart so her knowing a drink of wine every spaced out occasion wouldn't hurt a baby is...pretty in character. Plus the tantrum early shows that she acts before she thinks anyway.

Debbi does give soem solid advice here, and I imagine that Kalita will think about it in near future(probably while having the re-match with Muko). But right now she is not in her right mindset. Debbie having changed that much shciked her very much as well as the fact that her plan to take back the gang from Gantus solved in nothing. (Debbie was polite to not point out that for a fucking year Kalita did not even made a phone call or e-mail. To check on her sisterly friend that near died and just quit the gang. Well, that meeting went poorly. Poor Debbie, she wanted to connect with an old friend and help her out and she got publicly humiliated in return. While she didn't phrase it right, her heart was in the right place. I like how Kalita calls out Debbie for drinking while pregnant and Debbie stammers a bit. It adds a bit of humor to this dramatic scene and it shows that Kalita has a slight respect for family left in her if she's concerned by the baby's health.

Yeah, doesn't mean I'm not allowed to hate her now. And if that "redemption" arc turns out to just shove the idea that Kalita did nothing wrong down my throat, then imma hate her even more.

Is her having a "tragic" backstory supposed to give her a pass on every wrong she's ever commited? It doesn't. Nor does every other person in this series being a screw magically make what's she done acceptable, or even something to be taken lightly, for that matter.

Right now she is a Grade A bitch, and that has gotta change before my opinion of her does.
