Dragon's Lesson (by StarfallHybrid)
YCH from the talented
StarfallHybrid!
To the naked eye, the forest looked like any other. Lush green foliage, mulch and verdant debris underfoot, the scurrying of frightened critters heard all throughout. But the air was different here. It was suffused subtly with aether and other magicks, something any wizard, sufficiently learned scholar, or regular dragon could have sensed immediately. Unfortunately, Arix was no wizard, certainly no learned scholar, and although a dragon, some cosmic joke at his birth had robbed him of the natural affinity for magic that graced the rest of his kind. But even though unable to taste the magic in the air, he could see the shimmering bark of the trees, trees held aloft by their unnatural roots.
The Shaman marveled at the curious creature. Many creatures deprived of their birthright gave in to either rage or despair, but the dragon was curiously calm, almost...proud. Proud of being lesser than his brethren? And despite having the appearance of a fighter, with his blade and his armour, he brought no conflict with him. The Shaman always took delight in guests, particularly those who could show him something new in exchange for his own intricate knowledge of the magical wilds. He too may learn something from the dragon, if he deemed the dragon a good enough student...

A woodland shaman ey?. I've run into a few of them now and again back in the day, and i must say that they are rather interesting. Tho all the times i've had a face to face with em, it's always been when i was lighting their precious forests, and woodland critter friends, ablaze.
Looks great!.
