I've been laying off on drawing for the past week. I've been falling behind on studies. There aren't any back shots of my boy Lithio other than the one from last year so I thought to make one. Drawing this on lined paper was a big mistake. Drawing the feet and hands are still somewhat tricky for me.
Anyway... I had a very interesting conversation with an online friend I've known for a few years. He returned to drawing after quitting last August. At the time I had started drawing a few months ago and it felt like I failed a mission to keep him motivated. However, just a week ago, we started talking again. The only catch though is that I feel that he's already better than I am. He's not into the funny animal art but the chibi looking art. The interesting part is that the way he motivates allows him to draw 12 hours a day! Even with absolutely nothing else to do during the day, that is incredible. The way he does it is by being turned on by his own drawings. The way he describes it is that he gets ecstatic during that time. I don't turned get turned on by anything so there's no way for me to compete! I'm up against a beast!
I prefer to generalize it to finding awe in what you draw, something that is more feasible and possibly healthy for me. I tend to enjoy drawing mundane things in life. We're not rivals though, we still give each other constructive criticism and learn from each others' mistakes. That being said, if you have something to say, please tell me!

Like always, I've been learning these lessons the hard way. Perhaps one has to change their fundamental ways of thinking in order to change how they naturally react to things, so it is pretty difficult. But whatever envy i have for the guy has been gone for a while now. Nowadays I only draw when I feel like it but the quality of each time is a lot better.
Now then, you may be an admirer but don't call yourself just an admirer. You do realize that you're an artist too! Oh and a fun fact, I took the personality test 4 years ago and also got infp!
