I'm going to have to read up on that one - looks like it happened about the same time as the Great Pueblo Revolt in New Spain in 1680 to 1692. Spanish were driven out of New Mexico and parts of Arizona by a coordinated uprising of a number of the tribes in the region - Hopi, Zuni, Acoma, Ysleta, Taos and others who lived along the Rio Grande
Would love to if I had the time and money. Guess I'll have to rely on books and online articles. What I've read so far - Spanish officials treating the locals like dirt and then they were surprised when the locals take offense and action - most common theme in uprisings in all of the old Spanish Empire. Usually involved an offense against someones wife.
for 250 years we are treated as slaves by the Spanish elite,The old Christian Catholic order turn againts the people who practice the old animist beliefs and condem it as witchcraft and heresy,The Spanish government at that time suported the eradication of Infidel Tribes that does not bow down to the Crown, and a fudal caste system that reflects of the social divide between the common people and the oligarchs up to now.
