Stag base - head (WIP)

I decided to take another crack at Woodfather, then I thought "why not post the uncolored, undetailed version as a base that other digital artists can use if they want to draw a muscular stag with a square-ish jaw?" Here's a closeup of the head. I'll probably redo the muzzle (making the nose<->eye lines shorter, lowering the muzzle circle to make it longer) and the mouth line (which is supposed to be a gentle smile).
I learned the "circle with a smaller circle on the bottom" technique from a tutorial...that I can't find :(. If I could find it, I'd credit the artist.
