Triconderoga Erasable Blue 420T...... have also used Colorbrite Medium Blue 2125.... well they haven't broken anyways.

I've been using Staedtler "non-print purple" drafting lead in a drafting pencil for sketching lately. I messed around with the Pentel blue and red 0.5 lead when I started out drawing. I ended up switching to col-erase pencils because three things about the Pentel lead bothered me. First the eraseability wasn't so great, it could be erased, but not completely. Second, the lead broke way too often, and third I found it took a lot of pressure to get a solid line down on paper and it would literally leave an indentation on underlying pages in a sketchbook.

Hmmm... I have some old col erase pencils floating around... maybe I'll give them another go and see if I can get over my lazy I don't wanna' sharpen ever 2 mins problem. ;)

for the pencils that don't do such breakage and keep the same lovable detail though i can look into it i have so many different brands of materials i might have one that fits your desire when i find it out ill let you know.
