He was possessed by a chaos spirit that gives people incredible power but turns them into nihilistic killing machines. Before he even met her mother. Her mother gave up EVERYTHING-- even her ability to support her community-- in order to support him. Mora never met him as a child.
As an adult, she found him-- and we still don't know what happened or if they talked.

This is the first time he has been in the comic since... and... He doesn't look like a monster.
This raises a LOT of questions. But my best guess is: He's reformed, and doesn't want his daughter to know he exists.

She doesn't need him.
And he thinks she'd be better off without him.

Wait a minute... isn't Mora's dad supposed to be in some maximum security govt prison, or whatever it was?
