We still do not know, it may land on an awning or fall to the ground and fracture or perhaps fall into something safe and run away in terror, but at the moment the one who has them very black is Hamir.

He could have fell on top of a market stand, but whatever he saw scared him to the point he had to jump.

Later we know what happened to him, for the moment he was "saved" since he had the window next to him, but Hamir did not run with that luck.

Hamir had no time to run at this point, Hamir has to live right now and it doesn’t matter to Nikos either.

Maybe it's like Nikos said: "He only wants him" otherwise Nikos would have died instantly before jumping and only a dead body would fall to the ground.

I don’t blame Nikos for jumping though, watching a member of your group killed brutally in front of you.

He did what his survival instinct told him to do.

As in stuck in a fight or flight scenario? no I would fly. I know that monster is possbily too powerful for me and figthing him would be futile unless i am cornered.
