Getting back to alternate versions of old pics.

Version one is low-contrast almost a duo-chrome of red and blue - very late night and dreamy :

Then i thot " why not try a higher contrast version with the shadow and hi-light hues shifted over a bit ?"...so pros and cons of this version : Result : not so dreamy (still dreamy) more realistic to the day-to-day value contrasts we see - it's ambiguous if it's night with bright street store windows or daytime with a window lit by the sun reflecting off of other buildings. i wanted the pic to be a little mysterious from the start (such as the guy's feet disappearing before the ground (is that "painterly, or is he a"ghost" or what? An ex-lover, or a family member remembered) - so having even the time of day uncertain in v2 appeals to me. i like to play with ambiguity some times, but not that often, so i did make a point of putting some odd areas into some recent pics. v2 looks more like film or graphic novel .... but v1 looks more like painting, romantic moods, dreaminess, and so on.

So an interesting alt version ( i liek it a lot ) but not my fave ....one of these days i might try a v3.
