Long time fan - Tres friggin awsome! Watched process vid and was confuzzled : how do you do your rough lines in black and then draw final "inks' in black over black rough lines ? i usually put in a white or grey layer on moderate opacity so that the rough lines appear paler, but it doesn't look like you do that...so yeah, confuzzled how you tell rough from final lines ? O_0
Sounds like you're talking about my "first pass" of the final lines, rather than what I consider the "rough" lines. The rough lines ARE greyed out, and the first pass of the linework is drawn over them. The first pass is kept at 100% opacity as I go over that with the second pass, because not all of the first pass lines will be erased; I need to be able to see them as they will appear in the final image.
Oh...interesting ! will watch vid again - keeping a good deal of first pass lines - i tend to do that with pencil ona light board - do ruff - flip the page over and do first pass lines - then flip the page again and tape on a new page to do new lines etc. The original lines are sometimes cool, sometimes oops - keeping the cool stuff makes sense..... Sorry didn't mean to learn something here. .... also this pic is amazing. For a given value of "amazing". Probably squared.
