The Quatzari is a species of otherworldly origins. Only creatures of the fey may see them on occasion, living within their realms, and rarely do they leave or inhabit any other realms of existence. Their kind are known to have savage tendencies, and live within their own specific clans. Each clan have their differences but have one similarity. Despite being capable of digesting plant-life, they choose to mostly diet on those they can hunt. Outside of their own species, they'll eat just about anyone, gnawing like wild hyenas when they've caught their prey.

On rare occasion, a Quatzari may be able to resist their urges to kill and consume, but only one with extreme mental fortitude can even start to resist what they want most.

The blade-like tendrils located on the forearms are used for piercing flesh, as they are not sharp enough along the edges to slash through anything. The green slimy substance originates from tiny glands on the tendrils. It sticks like glue and after left alone for a period of time, it turns white and evaporates are a quickened rate. Despite the appearance, the white bone-like design on the silky scaled flesh of the Quatzari, it is not bone, but rather a hardened piece of flesh that is discolored white.

The saliva-like substance drips from the blossoming flower-like tail end. Inside of the pedals contains a tongue-like tentacle that is coated with a thick layer of a rubbery-clear substance. The tail end is used partially for containing scavenged food or otherwise. Using a pocket inside of the tail to store their food. But the saliva-like substance is also a stronger, different strand of the gooey substance from the appendages. It's much more clear, and when reacting with the goo from the appendages, it hardens quickly. Alike a spider, a Quatzari can create webbing or even more lasting material such as nests, or modern recreations using the new hardened jelly-like substance. Upon fully maturing, the substance turns amber in color and will typically last a few weeks.

This was a fun process for me. Creating a new species from scratch wasn't something I've done before. And this is one I am quite fond of.
