A lot of the time when I get someone to draw artwork for me it's because there's a character idea I've had in my head that's become important to me in some way; and I want to see it done justice and brought to life despite my lack of technical skill.

This is Valiant. Sarcastic, objective-focused, curious and by the very nature of their programming; caring. A tech company working in pediatrics sought to create a robot to act as a nurse at a children's hospital, an entertainer who could rapidly and discretely relay information to the primary caregivers. Designed with a carbon fiber skeleton and memory foam padding, this initial model was given an aramid fiber skin in order to withstand severe, reckless physical abuse and be easy to clean. Children can be unpredictable, and some have not and may never learn empathy. They were designed to be cute and give off an inviting presence, with the mattress material being huggable and the light weight minimizing the potential for a child to get hurt. They were left unfinished, with their debug monitor serving as their head and upgrades to its casing were made in order to keep it working for sentimental reasons.
