So, the Pickaxe had to close early today for whatever reason, and these two were left with nothing better to do. Naturally, hijinx ensued. Mae had "heard" from some sketchy internet source that inflating the body via helium was a great way to diminish stress and treat sore muscles. Was she genuinely seeking to help her friend, or was this another of her bizarre practical jokes? Maybe her time as a blueberry left her with a certain fetish for this stuff? Well, whatever the case, there's no denying that it's impossible to take Bea seriously when her voice is several octaves higher than normal.

Truthfully, I was going to hold off from posting this for another couple of days, but apparently today is Helium Day, or the day that the element of helium was first discovered, and unsurprisingly the inflation community likes to wring this fact for everything it's worth. I figured it was too perfect of a coincidence to wait that much longer. Drawing commissions will be open again on Friday, I promise. I just need another few days before I'm willing to start taking them again.
