This is somewhat inspired by a bali mynah initially, but a diverged from that quite a bit in the interests of just enjoying a fantasy bird design. I like looking at this painting and knowing that it's something I would have totally enjoyed as a sappy fantasy-loving teen. A gift for my past self, perhaps, and the people in my position back then-- there is a sentimentality to this that I find comforting.
