This is really random, i know...
I was planning to draw something else last night, but once i got my paper out my muse was like "Draw a kangaroo girl."
So i was like "ok." *sketch sketch sketch*
Then she was like "Hey, the position of that arm looks like she ought to be shooting herself in the head. DO IT!"
...Anyway, when the muse says DO IT... you just gotta do it.
...
Also i was feeling a little blue :C I talked to wonderful people earlier in the night and then had to disappear to isolation at work, and occasionally that just emphasizes how lonely and starved for physical and emotional contact i am.
But now looking at this makes me laugh, it's kind of silly. :P
Stay tuned for more Roos, too. I need to draw them ;___; ...and next time hopefully i will have references! (Yeah, her face and head in general is bullshitted, i think she looks kinda like a camelid to be honest... I had no refs.
I've drawn roo feet before though, so i'm pretty confident about her foot at least. And what a lovely foot it is! <3
WTF, i drew an anthro with hair. I like never do that, either. But i think it suits her...

I was thinking while i was drawing this that it might be interesting to do a few pinups kinda like this... alluring, lovely girls smiling with their bedroom eyes while they hover on the brink of offing themselves. ...the jarring contrast between sensuality/beauty alongside hopelessness and suicide seems to be a bold statement ...what is it stating? i don't know (that's for the interpretations of viewers to work out.) But it's interesting anyway...
I'm kind of pleased that this was disturbing for you - not because i seek to disturb you, but because i was thinking about that when i drew it, i guess. Though i wasn't actively trying to portray it that way...

Thinking about it more, it's just how close she looks to pulling the trigger. The muzzles almost buried into her fur, she's got her finger really tight on the trigger. I guess I'm a little squeamish about guns being pointed at people (though I'm not squeamish at all about shooting them... guns, I mean =D .)
Still it was the dialogue that really nailed it. Just so vivid of a statement, said with that smile... a lot of cognitive dissonance, it's interesting to look at. I don't mind being disturbed if it's well done.
Wouldn't mind seeing more either, that sounds like an interesting pursuit. Could I humbly suggest you could do one of a jumper? I always thought that moment of no return, loss of balance was just so visceral, intensely frightening in implication but, for a few brief moments, intensely beautiful as well.

I love this for a few reasons. one It disturbed me and I thought wait if I fav this what would my friends think of my state of mind lolz.
Its the mood that is set in this that I find interesting because there is a duality of sweetness in this and a tasty level of insanity.

No, really, no one looks up pictures of the animals they draw. No matter how close a connection a person might feel with an animal, a few seconds finding a decent reference is too much commitment. The following are intended to be kangaroos:

Two interpretations I had:
1) Something that doesn't get enough attention but really pisses men off: when someone goes out with someone with the intention of changing him/her into what they want, rather than finding someone who is naturally what you want.
2) reminds me of those people who say "love me or I'll go kill myself", effectively trapping anyone who cares about that person's life, regardless of love.

This... makes this character infinitely hot to me.

That's one of the things I like a lot about your art -- it really looks like the species it's supposed to. I think some people just have one basic furry type they draw and then they just put different ears on tails on it.
I am in a glass house really, because I am no artist. But I do, for instance, know that rabbits do not have pawpads, something most furry artists miss.
