Give it Back! (by Cu_Sith)

AspWyvern!
Here we see the mischievous Asp using his magic to mess with my oh-so-carefully donned armour and steal my helm! But...you know, it's actually pretty cool. I may not be able to use any magic myself, but to be surrounded in it like this feels weird and tingly. Not at all unpleasant. Ooh, and the glowy lights and colours! And and and seeing my helm floating up around there like it has a mind of its own! Ooh ooh, do it again! Do it again! What can you make my sword do?

"Warriors hating magic" is a pretty common stereotype, yes, but one that I don't buy into. I may have been that way in my youth due to...ahem, the way I grew up, but now that I'm older and wiser, I know well that magic is just another tool that can be used in all sorts of ways, for good and ill. What matters is who is using it, and what it's being used for. These days, I really value having a good mage on my side. Whenever I'm part of a team rather than adventuring solo, what I value most is variety in skills.
Of course! Just because I put my own skills in hard steel, doesn't mean I think that's all there is.
Honestly I've never been a big fan of the "Rough and tough fighter man who only sees value in strength and combat skills" archetype, so I try my best to avoid it for myself.
