Another try at digital painting. This time a portrait, as i think it's a bit easier (and faster) when it come to training.
Doesn't look too bad.
Been a while since i wanted to do Scar from the Lion King (One of my favourite Disney villain) and decided to give him the anthro twist.
Took some inspiration from the uniform of the Atreides from Dune (1984) for his own, and also gave him some jewelry and such as i think that fit his very... well mannered personality.

Sorry if this isn't explained well but on the original movie, I wish Scar wasn't related to Simba because I like it when the villains aren't of your family.
With an unrelated villain (assuming they aren't a friend who's betraying you) it seems easier to go all out on them than when they're a family member.
I mean it sucks when one of your own family members betrays you but when it's someone unrelated it's a bit less painful. Your family members especially have the obligation to be good to you whereas it's a little less dysfunctional if it's someone outside.
If I were Simba I would've been like "Aw man it sucks that my Uncle is evil!" but if he wasn't related I would've just been like "Time to take this guy down!" I'd have nothing to worry about in terms of family in that regard.
I guess it boils down to family is supposed be intact since we raise each other and start off with each other.
An outsider being bad doesn't feel like a piece of your family being broken since they aren't a part of it.
This is what I have to say so far hope it isn't too long.

It was kinda the point of the whole movie, that Scar is family.
He couldn't have been King if he wasn't, as he is Heir presumptive. And his entire goal was to be king.
Also it was needed for Simba's doubt, as his own uncle told him it was Simba's fault if Mufasa died. And at the time Simba was too young to realize his Uncle ambitions (He even try to play with him in the beginning), so Simba see that as his family putting the fault on him and rejecting him for it.
That, among other things.

What a great concept! Scar is a great character in the movie although his appearance is deliberately ragged which I always felt undermined his persuasive and political personality. This version shows the appearance that I think Scar would deliberately cultivate if he had the option: regal, influential and demanding of respect. I want to see this movie!
He is lean and angular, "Dagger shaped" i'd say, which fit the way he get things done.
His body also fit his mannerism. It'd be weird to have a body type like Mufasa move and act the way Scar does.
And yeah, he'd probably want to cultivate a look fit for a king (or an emperor, if he could).
