This family of swords is called "hedra", which could stand best for "tooth" or "tusk fang".
Common hedra is the heaviest thing you can find among one-handed swords - heavy as heck, sturdy and wide its' blade it fit for crushing strikes, while balanced curded guard and hilt allow to control foe's weapon effectively.
While common hedra is a hybrid of one-handed sword and epee, Grayeyes' hedra is more of a zwei-hander bastard hybrid, allowing two-handed grip.
