Oh, don't worry, he's actually quite friendly.

Though it may appear to be a rather awesome Typhlosion in the midst of a very fiery scene, this is sort of meant to be a pretty sweet portrait of Waltz, a Typhlosion from my story series, Middle of Nowhere. Despite the threatening appearance of most Typhlosions, Waltz is actually pretty timid and bashful. He's a very lonely Typhlosion, but behind his loneliness lies incredible loyalty.

Don't get me wrong, though ― this gentle giant can fight and fight very well. He's just not what you would expect most Typhlosions to be like.

Yeah, uh huh, I'm sure you didn't need to read all of that and/or don't really care. Typhlosion is a pretty cool Pokemon in general, so I wanted to sort of make this piece of art look cooler than just some ordinary piece. I went a bit crazy with the coloring, shading, and blending, using some techniques that I haven't really tried before, but hopefully it turned out fairly nice. I always have a "just in case this sucks" version available with minimal shading in case it is too bad.
