This pattern is actually a modification of another free pattern that's out there, basic fingerless mittens. Mine are (mostly) open-palm because I hate sweaty palms! They are also larger than the linked pattern because not only are my hands larger than the average woman's, but I also tend to crochet tighter. I blame all the amigurumi on that. If my pattern is too big on you, try using the stitch counts provided in that link and adjust my mod's counts to match.

This pattern goes from the cuff to the red lines indicated in the photos. I customized mine to my own personal preference (added a second loop for if I won't be moving my fingers too much; it can slide down to the first loop for more typing freedom when I need it, and back up when I'm done. It's probably best for a mouse-hand glove... even though I don't actually use a mouse myself.)

NOTE: I haven't actually tested the right-hand part of the pattern yet, so if it totally doesn't work, let me know, lol.
