Shiv was taken at a young age and forced to serve a cruel human lord as a court jester. Fortunately for Shiv the lord choked to death on a fish bone while eating cake. Unfortunately for the lord, his guards and advisors were unable to help as they had been simultaneously poisoned. With nothing to keep him at the castle Shiv set out into the world on his own to find his place.

Shiv was made to show that a character with a dark backstory didn't have to be an edgelord. He is very happy go lucky and quite quick to make friends. He is also shady and very likely to put a dagger in the back of anyone that would cause trouble for himself or his party.
