"I still think of myself as a guy." Followed by the beach scene where he's still dressing to present as male. His ref sheet says his gender is male. It's really not ambiguous at all.

I’m not saying that Natani doesn’t identify as male still. I’m just saying that she feels more comfortable with her feminine side is all. I don’t remember exactly what page, or pages, but during a conversation with Keith Natani pretty much admits to having started to slowly embrace her more feminine side.
Not to mention, she has had thoughts of wearing female clothing and acting feminine as well. Quite a while back actually. Though, she hasn’t acted on these thoughts. Yet.
And I keep saying “she” because of the context in which I’m speaking. I use “he” and “she” interchangeably with Natani.

You should use "he" exclusively, because that's what he prefers. It doesn't matter if he's more open to Keith and Kat, it doesn't matter if he occasionally thinks about wearing feminine clothing, it doesn't matter if he's slowly becoming more accepting of his body. Despite all of it, he has insisted on being called a man, even to those he's opened up to during intimate moments, and is therefore a man.
Remember the kiss aboard the boat? The moment Keith said he still saw him as "one of the guys" and respected him at his most vulnerable, he leaped at that boy. That's euphoria, mate. Natani is a man, without a doubt.

Yes, because if people won't respect the identity of a fictional character when it's been made clear by the creator, why would they respect the identities of actual people? By not challenging it, it presents that identity, for a real or fictional person, as up for debate, which it absolutely is not. To see a person, real or fictional, repeatedly insist upon their identity, only to turn up your nose and Well Actually about it as if you know better, you are being disrespectful to people with that identity.
It's an old movie. It's just a comedy movie talking about a senator family going visiting the daughter's boyfriend's family, who happened to live in homosexual culture. His father is marrying with the homosexual guy, who looked after the son as a mother.
When I first saw the opening, I mistook those guys for women due to them dressing like ones, almost too well, to be honest.
But hey, I believe what you said about this character (the pup up above) is indeed a male.

Hi I've reread the whole comic like three times and not once has Natani stopped insisting on being called a guy, even with the self exploration when trapped with his past self, who need I remind everyone admitted to enjoying dressing up as a man even before the mindlink, so real talk maybe we should just treat him like the man he is
Peoples' responses were relatively calm, idk wtf you're looking at. It may not have been an attack but it was an incorrect way to refer to a transperson, and we have every right to correct them about it because in fact a lot of people get in our business and tell us what we are and it SUCKS. It may not have been intended as an attack and was from sheer ignorance but statements like that DO in fact hurt transpeople and there's nothing wrong with correcting someone.
You wouldn't understand this at all, if you seriously think 'nobody cares' you really aren't paying attention at all. And why would you? Your cis. I'm not saying you're evil for it, but that you really have no idea what you're talking about.

Pissing on someone's lawn might seem harmless -- I mean it's biodegradable and it'll make the grass grow -- but it's still something I'm sure we can all agree is majorly insulting.
It's the same for misgendering a trans person. Especially after the error has been politely pointed out. We endure a lot to get to where we are. It's fine to talk about stuff like confirmation surgery or whatever like it's no big deal, but for us it's not abstract, it's real. And when we go through all that just to have people call us something we're not and then get all offended when we insist on being addressed with the identity we've worked so incredibly damned hard to realize, it's really insulting.

As a binary transgender guy, this depiction of a FTM character is pretty irritating. If it weren't for the chest binding (also, never, ever bind your chest without a garment designed to do so, you WILL dislocate and deform your ribs) and the coloring of the umbrella, literally nothing about this character is presented as anything other than female. It's somewhat offensive to see my medical and psychological condition fetishised.
Oh, sorry, I should have clarified -
I understand the setting, but the reason I mentioned it was that there are still people that bind with ace bandages, etc: they might not be able to afford a binder, they're in a situation with controlling parents, it's only temporary for a cosplay, or they might just be uninformed. I was guilty too, when I was younger, so I try to warn others so they don't repeat my mistakes. :>

In the comic, Natani's chest bandages are established to be enchanted clothing that are essentially a subtle bag of holding originally designed to hide weapons, tools, and other items in. Natani (who is an assassin) naturally figured out how to kill two birds with one stone. He does also mention his previous discomfort with regular chest bindings. I absolutely agree that the chest bandages even with lore reasons still aren't a good idea, but I do want to give at least some small credit.
I'm nonbinary (and still figuring stuff out), so I don't entirely have firsthand experience and might be misunderstanding this or missing the point, but I personally appreciate that in the story, Natani comes out and is affirmed as male when he isn't wearing any chest bindings and physically appears his most feminine. The tone was very much that he didn't owe anyone to look a certain way or otherwise "fit the mold" to deserve being identified as his gender, and what he does, he does for himself. I can't claim intention, and Natani does look especially feminine (his posture and eyelashes feel uncharacteristic for him) in this style, but I can't help but want to think that the same idea was held in mind for this piece.

Would like to point out that the "burned fur" guy you're commenting to tried to look for an internet fight back during pride month when somebody was doing pride flag YCHs, showing up and asking if the artist would make straight pride flags. I doubt he'd argue in good faith about this. To my knowledge he never ended up getting a "straight pride" flag YCH anyways. These people are trying so hard to be a victim it's honestly laughable.
Internet arguments don't really bother me that much, but watching Fluffkevlar's comment section get set aflame by people who feel the need to champion their political beliefs is a little sad. Oh well. I agree people could be more chill, and that goes for both sides.
Just to avoid clogging the poor guy's feed any more, I'd suggest making use of Notes if you have any further response.

Please note, while his sex is listed as female, his gender is listed as male, confirming his transgender identity.

Don't get me wrong, some people are just under misconception, and that's fine. But those people don't argue at you and act like they're being attacked when they're simply corrected. This guy is literally telling you that Natani's *official reference* is not an indicator of his gender. And, as a general rule, I dont trust people who say shit like "These comments are a warzone!" in the same breath that they offer their misunderstanding of it.
If I ever start to think that maybe society is starting to accept trans people more, all I have to do is look at some Natani art and they'll set me straight real quick. Rarely do I see a character instill this much controversy. I started getting into arguments on Tom's daily drawings that involved Natani cause I guess I'm a masochist and oh boy I've given up on some of those people. One guy even seemed to go out of his way to track down my comments and get angry even when I wasn't even trying to start shit. I really don't see why this pisses so many people off. The comic makes it pretty clear that Natani is trans, and people try and get all "well actually she's starting to come to terms with her feminine side." Yeah that's how trans people are a lot, they sway violently towards a gender presentation and then realize that they don't owe society anything and start to get comfortable with themselves. I'm well aware, I'm trans. Natani is a man, him coming to terms with himself doesn't make him a she.
Natani is a pretty bad trans character, from the writing. Considering how Tom uses her for "LOL! BOOBIES!" gags more than serious character interactions, and for most of their arc, we're lead to believe that the Nat we have is the direct result of a mind-shattering injury, not self-actualization?
And now that we have some self-actualization, we're seeing a character that's leaning increasingly into their womanly side.
At best, the jury's still out, at worst, you're putting your bets on a basket case, and odds are we'll never get a solid answer because Tom doesn't want people to form a lynch mob and show up at his door. Because let's be honest, the side that doesn't want Nat to be trans won't care if Nat is trans, but the side that wants Nat trans will throw a shitfit because "muh representation".
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a well-writen FtM character in a comic. Natani is not, and at this rate, NEVER WILL BE, that character.
And
fluff-kevlar knew that this kind of bickering would happen in the comments when they posted this. We're all playing into their hands for engagement points.

I... what? Excuse you. For one, I don't follow Tom's comic and read the posts, I knew they identified as male because I just.. asked him about the character. I didn't "know this kind of bickering would happen." I don't want it on my page? Engagement points? Are you for fucking real? What the hell does that even mean? What do these imaginary points get me? I drew a picture for Patrons of an OC they liked. That's pretty much it. You also can't throw out "we're playing into their hands" as you ...make a comment about it. No one's forcing you to comment.
What a bizarre comment. I don't even know what the point is. You have a comment about the comic, go comment on the comic?
