Nikaya's turn. And yes, I'm lazy as hell. XD I did, however, re-colour the sketch on the left into the format I'm tentatively planning to use on the comic. It's a little bit more work, but I think the results are worth it (at least on my comp.) I prefer the more realistic skintones.

Anyway... she's both the character with the most changes over time, and the least. It's weird, in a way. Her attitude hasn't changed much at all--she's still the overly naive, rowdy, pushy woman she's always been, but her story has pegged her into more roles than I can count.

I'll be the first to tell you that the concept of the story came from something completely ripped off and half-assed. In fact, it was completely jacked from Escaflowne, and pretty much every other "girl falls into alternate dimension, is very confused, and somehow of dire importance to this bizarre new culture" cliche that you can think of.

From there, Nikaya became a warrior, a noble woman, a long-lost princess, a warrior of an entirely different nature, a priestess, and, in her final form, a stable hand. It's been a long road, and seems to keep getting longer.
