Background: "T.A.S.S." as he is known today, is the product of scientific experimentation of a space-faring civilization that was attempting to create "super soldiers" to expand its military might. His case had an unexpected turn, instead awakening the power to manipulate space-time, including telekinesis and the ability to shift through time. This came at a high cost to his mind, however, wiping his memory and sense of self, leaving behind essentially a new creature almost devoid of emotion.

The organization leading the experiments made no attempts to correct this, since the blank slate he became would be much easier to mold into a super soldier, and purged any record of his previous existence and assigning him a new name based on the results: "Temporal Anomaly - Serpent Specimen"
