Paleo Kaijus are a side project within my fantasy world building that is designing kaijus inspired by prehistoric animals from the time ranges from the Cambrian up until the Pleistocene. Its a love project wanting to display more ancient animal like creatures in the kaiju scene instead of the classical 'godzilla' look a fair lot of kaijus tend to fall into, as well as over all go into speculative biology of each kaiju creature I create. In story the umbrella term used for these beasts are called 'Mega Fauna' by the people within the setting and these creatures are what my Mages battle against in future gigantic battle art pieces planned out.

Was doing some warm ups during this time and thought why not do some random creature designs and with this one the more I worked on it more in detail it made me remember about this one kaiju design I made not that long ago that was somewhat a plague doctor motif to it, giving it the name of 'Deinoplagaops' ('terrible plague face') so I went with it for this one tweaking around a few things to its face and concept coloring/markings on what it would look like maybe when around its habitat. Over all I do like how this came out and once of these days I'll have the full images made and info about this kaiju (and many more) up whenever I can.~
