I hate the word "varmint". I have mixed feelings about hunting anyway. Predation is a natural and beneficial thing, but when hunters go around lowering whole classes of animals to the status of "pests", "vermin", "varmints", or other derogatory words, or describing in great detail the thrill of seeing a prairie dog explode when hit by a high-powered round, that is when I run off into the arms of absurd organisations like PETA.
