As Grey got ready for the day, most of the Freelancers had already finished breakfast and were out on a mission. Everyone except for Pete and Benjamin. It was Pete's turn to be w/ Grey and he had something special planned for him.
Tee hee, I hope he enjoys what I've got planned!... Heh, thought Pete w/ a behind-the-hand smirk.
Benjamin went up to him after he saw Grey in the hall.
"It's your turn. I will get your tombstone ready, darling."
"Oh, Benny," said Pete, giggling, "Don't be so dramatic! I have some fun things planned for Grey and me!"
"Are you sure you'll be fine w/ him, Petey?" asked Benjamin skeptically.
"Of course! Heh heh heh," said Pete sinisterly.
Benjamin couldn't help but take a step back. He loved his twin, but there were just sometimes where Pete just somehow intimidated the crap out of him. After that, Grey walked in.
"Speak of the devil, it's the patchwork himself!" said Pete, wrapping one arm around Grey. "We're going to have sooo much FUN together!"
Grey couldn't help but squirm as Pete had his soft yet surprisingly strong arm around him.
Pete seemed nice and sweet, but Grey couldn't help but feel incredibly uncomfortable under his gaze and grip.
"C'mon buddy we have a whole day ahead of us," Pete said as he dragged Grey over to the kitchen.
Grey's head turned towards Benjamin, eyes pleading. Benjamin just cocked an eyebrow.
The fuck? Benjamin couldn't help but think as he walked over to the couch to watch TV.
Pete practically dragged Grey over to the meal table and put him in his chair.
"To commemorate this day, I have prepared an extra SPECIAL treat for breakfast!" Pete said, voice dripping w/ a sickly sweetness.
He opened the fridge and pulled out two bowls. They each had big, colorful balls in them along w/ one, small red ball in each. Pete put one bowl on his spot and he put the other one in front of Grey.
"You know what this is?" Pete asked.
Grey shook his head, still very uncomfortable.
"It's ice cream, dum-dum!" Pete said, giggling.
Grey tried one of the ice cream balls. It was DELICIOUS, but Grey couldn't fully enjoy the ice cream because of Pete's eerie presence and stare.
"You like it?" Pete asked.
Grey nodded shakily, really hoping that this day would go by quickly.
"Of course you do! Tee hee hee! Heh..." said Pete while slowly phasing his ice cream through the spot where his mouth should be.
...
After a few minutes, they were done eating their ice cream (they were the longest minutes of Grey's life, which was shocking considering what growing up in the basement was like).
"Mhm, that was some good ice cream," said Pete, wiping off the cream on his mouth using a napkin.
He then stood up and motioned for Grey to do the same. Grey did so very warily.
"Come on Grey. Let's go have fun!" said Pete while hopping over to the hall.
Grey followed from a distance.
He couldn't help but look back at Benjamin. Even if Benjamin was mean, Grey would rather be w/ him well over being w/ Pete and his eerie demeanor. Pete led Grey to a door on the left side of the hall that he hadn't been in yet.
"Here we are, the room I share w/ my brother, Benjamin!" Pete said breezily.
Pete opened the door and stepped inside. Grey, really wanting to walk away from this, chose to go in as he didn't want to be disobedient.
Lord above, please make this day go by quickly, Grey thought as he stepped in.
Inside, just like w/ Cherry and Vicky's room, the room was split in two. On the left side, there was a bed w/ a black blanket that had a bunch of different clothes and stuff on it. There were also lots of clothes that were hung on somethings, black paper on the walls that had different abstract shapes on them, and a box like the one Cedric has except it was black and had a weird, beige thing on it. On the right, which was where Pete was, there were weird colorful round things in the air, a bed that had a pink blanket on it, a round table w/ weird white things on it, a large, fuzzy thing on the floor that had different things on it, and different objects left lying around that looked silly. Pete was sitting at the table, which a large, pink cloth draped over it, pouring brown liquid from one of the weird white things into an odd-looking cup. He did the same for a different thing and a different cup.
"Sit Grey. Time for fun!"
Grey sat opposite to him, knowing that this wouldn't be easy.
...
Grey and Pete's time together was, eventful to put it lightly. Pete did what he called "games" w/ Grey. Pete brought out games that he called "board games" where they each picked pieces and needed to bring those pieces to a goal. They did "dress up" where Pete would dress Grey up in ridiculous outfits which made Grey's face feel weird again except, in this case, he wanted to tear the outfits off so badly. For lunch, they had what Pete called "cubed sandwiches w/ tea". It was good, but Grey desperately wanted this time to be over so BADLY. After lunch, they used the objects on the floor, which Pete called "toys". Each toy had a different function and Grey was unsure of how to feel about them. After perusing the toys, the two went back to the board games and played them until it was dinner time.
"Would you look at the time! It's almost dinner time and we still need to have our battle!" said Pete w/ both hands on his face.
Grey couldn't help but let out a quiet sigh of relief at that.
"Oh, but I don't want to fight you!" Pete said while standing up w/ his back turned. "Oh, how I wish this wasn't so! Heh. Heh. BWAHAHAHAHA!"
Grey flinched at that laugh. It starkly contrasted w/ Pete's odd behavior from before! Pete then turned around, but his expression was no longer the happy one from before. No, instead he had a nasty smirk on his face that somewhat reminded Grey of Benjamin except this looked a bit crueler.
"Heh. Sorry, but I couldn't keep a straight face any longer as I spouted that load of bullshit," said Pete in a different voice as he bent down and lifted the tablecloth a bit.
From underneath the table, Pete produced a weird fat, brown tube-like thing, and a tiny silver box thing. He opened the top of the small silver box, somehow made a flame appear in it, lit one end of the brown thing, put the other end in his mouth, and blew out some smoke when he removed it.
"Oh yeah, that's the fucking stuff!" Pete said excitedly. "Take a good look, Grey, this is the real me!"
He then took all the white things off the table, placed them on his bed, and then threw the table to the other side of the room.
"Get up."
Grey got up, absolutely scared of whoever was in front of him. Pete's feet then started glowing a dark blue and he summoned two huge white cups.
"Heh," Pete said w/ a wicked smirk.
FIGHT START!
(Song: Spider Dance Caleb Hyles Ver. except every mention of spiders is replaced by marshmallows)
Pete zipped over to Grey at a lightning speed and punched him into the air where the cups met him. They let out a giant blast each which hurt Grey quite a bit. When he fell, his health was already at 60%! Pete then summoned some square white things that had wicked faces to attack Grey who got up quickly. Despite appearing to be quite soft, they were quite hard, and, despite Grey's efforts to dodge them, he got pelted by them and they hurt so much that they actually took his health down to 40%! Pete then rushed over to Grey and kicked him into the wall, which took his health down to 35%.
"Hm, is that all? Funny, I thought you might be more of a challenge. Heh, well I guess I shouldn't have expected something from someone as hopeless as you," Pete said cruelly.
He then proceeded to kick Grey in the stomach repeatedly. Each kick made Grey flinch, there were tears in his eyes, and his health was rapidly dropping by 5% each time. Eventually, Grey's health was just 1%. Blood was dripping from his mouth at this point and he was in a lot of pain.
"Hmm. Looks like you can't take anymore huh? I mean, one more kick and you'll probably die," said Pete w/ an even crueler smirk.
He puffed some more smoke out of his brown tube, reeled his foot back slowly, and... the foot stopped centimeters shy of Grey's stomach. Grey looked up at Pete, surprised, and shocked.
"You seriously thought I was going to do it? Nah, I know damn well if I did that then everyone would be after me. Here, I'll even give you this to make you at least look presentable enough."
Failure...
Pete handed Grey one of his white square things w/ the wicked-looking face on it. Grey looked at the thing hesitantly.
"Eat it. I promise this one isn't harmful," said Pete haughtily.
Grey, not wanting to see what would happen if he disobeyed, ate the wretched thing. It tasted nasty and Grey had to do his best not to spit it out, but, oddly enough, he felt better after eating it. The blood on his mouth cleared up, his stomach hurt much less, and his health went back up to 45%. He stood up.
"There. Now you're at least presentable again," Pete said as he put out his tube's flame and tossed into a bin. He then put his hand on his face and when it was removed, his expression was the happy-go-lucky one he had one before.
"C'mon buddy, it's time for dinner!" Pete said while grabbing Grey's hand and dragging him towards the hall.
Once they were in the hall, Pete leaned in close towards Grey.
"Hey, buddy. Let me give you some friendly advice! If you tell anyone about our fun battle," Pete went over to whisper in Grey's ear, "I'll kill you in your sleep."
Grey tried to peel himself away from Pete, but Pete wrapped his arm around Grey and held him tightly to him.
"Now let's go eat buddy!" Pete said cheerily.
Pete dragged Grey over to the meal table. Cedric, Benjamin, and Oliver were all there eating while everyone else was gone.
"Oh hey, how'd it go?" asked Cedric, who eating a sandwich.
"Oh, it was marvelous! Isn't that right, buddy boy Grey?" asked Pete jovially.
Grey just stood there w/ a fearful look in his eyes.
"Oh, he must be too tired to speak from all the fun we had! Go on Grey, I won't keep you from dinner any longer!" said Pete, releasing Grey who blew out a puff of air as he immediately went to Cedric's side, grateful that he no longer had to deal w/ that faker.
"Hey bud, I made you a sandwich," said Cedric, pointing to the plate in front of Grey.
Grey, relieved to be by Cedric's side again, bit into the sandwich. It was scrumptious.
"So what did you two do together? I bet it was fucking boring," asked Benjamin who was drinking something from a bowl.
Pete looked at Grey w/ a smile. To most, this looked innocent, but to Grey, it was a clear cut threat.
We, uh, did games and stuff, Grey wrote unsurely.
"Were they fun?" asked Oliver.
They were... interesting.
"Hmph," said Benjamin, salty that tomorrow was his turn.
...
After dinner was finished and everyone had gotten ready for bed, Cedric confronted Grey as they got ready to sleep.
"I know something was bothering you at lunch," he said w/ his arms crossed.
What do you mean? Grey wrote nervously.
"What do I mean? You had a weird look in your eyes, your writing was more nervous than usual, and you looked like a caged animal while Pete was holding you. What happened between you two?"
Nothing! We just had "fun" is all! Grey wrote w/ a nervous expression.
Cedric sighed.
"Ok, I'll drop it. Just know though," Cedric said, as he slowly and ever-so-gently cupped Grey's face, "If something's bothering you, just tell me. I care about you and I want you to have a good time here. Do I make myself clear?"
Grey, w/ a hot face, nodded.
"Good. Now let's get some sleep. I bet you're tired. I know I am," said Cedric, stifling a yawn.
He then switched off the lights, climbed into his top bunk, and muttered good night to Grey.
Grey got into bed. He laid there for a while, thinking about Pete's drastic change in behavior earlier and what that might mean before he slowly drifted off to sleep.
Tee hee, I hope he enjoys what I've got planned!... Heh, thought Pete w/ a behind-the-hand smirk.
Benjamin went up to him after he saw Grey in the hall.
