That only works to a certain extent, and ONLY for endothermic reactions (those that absorb heat / require energy to go). Exothermic reactions are actually *slowed* in the presence of heat, because the waste heat is a product and must be removed to keep the equilibrium going in the right direction.
CHEMICAL digestion is actually an exothermic process, though the waste heat is spread out over the entire process, not just in the stomach. Burning the food first certainly is an option. ^.^
