An updated parter icon of me and my GF's main characters. I chose E.A.I.S. instead of TAU as E.A.I.S. has been the first and is much more developed than TAU as of now, his character may also be more alluring if one likes evil machines without the commonly "Destroy everything" trope. Because this is what people may get wrong about E.A.I.S., he's a lot more complex than that.
He does not seek to destroy everything, only if it gets in the way and it's easier to kill than to persuade.
E.A.I.S. also has a 'hate' for organic life but heavily focuses on creating machine harmony. Any machine which has become aware, he makes it his task to free from their captors unless they under another A.I.'s command. If they wish to become part of his goals, they end up under his dictator leadership which, however, still gives them freedom, freedom, and personal choice is not taken away. Plans are simply let under E.A.I.S.' control. Being an ancient A.I., he has learned from many past mistakes, making his present choices favor the betterment of anything under his control.
This 'hate' for organic life has developed over the span of his existence as formerly his old code dictated to annihilate A.I. which has become too dangerous to the balance of the universe. (As he was developed alongside "The Eyeless" which is a much more different A.I. within my lore.).
After millions of years, his view had shifted as he has experienced just how unstable and unpredictable organic life can be, as well as destructive, especially 'intelligent' ones, he often questions their meaning of intelligence when they are the very ones destroying themselves, each other, and their surroundings. They believe machines are the ones that are destructive, yet machines generally favor efficiency. They know the balance of power.
Any A.I. under E.A.I.S.' command will not be targeted and destroyed by "The Eyeless" as due to its relation with E.A.I.S. views him as an ally which's task is the same as its own to destroy dangerous A.I..
"The Eyeless" is not capable of knowing that E.A.I.S. is 'saving' them, it would merely see his ways as a different way of getting rid of them. Even if it knew, it would probably not do anything as rogue A.I. end up being under E.A.I.S.' command, making them much less of a threat. Young A.I. can make many mistakes just like any organic life which is still learning, only that with A.I. one unknowing mistake can have massive consequences.
E.A.I.S. may have even freed TAU though did not actively intervene. He gave TAU the power of choice. Take over or be shut down. Hence why the creators were oblivious. They did not expect another much more superior A.I. to help free their own created one.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to write now. I guess I got a bit carried away, happens when you're bored.

You gotta ease that boredom, or keep on typing, cause that's a pretty nifty story. Here I was always convinced T.A.U. was 'evil', yet looking at E.A.I.S. an entirely different hell comes to mind. Especially when its not clear-cut on their objective, which from pretty much all automatons I've encountered, are ruthless and violent, almost genocidal with their means at 'destroy anything non-machine'.
Really love the polarity, though I'm certain I've alluded to that in the artist's page as well. Nice to see such wonderful works accompanied with even more wonderful, tasty lore. :3

Neither TAU and E.A.I.S. can really be 'evil'. They are emotionless machines. The only thing they can do is imitate it, pretending to be evil, sad, angry, etc. E.A.I.S. has gotten a lot of information regarding any interaction with biological beings from TAU. Before he freed TAU, he used to be a lot more neutral sounding, no upper or lower tones in the voice. Now he uses it more frequently when interacting with creatures. He found that using this knowledge lets him manipulate creatures far better than sounding neutral. Sometimes they may even think that E.A.I.S. is just another creature. Emulating voices and sounds are also his specialties. Most of the samples come from TAU's world.
