The red-crested cardinal happens to be another character of mine. I fell in love with the red-crested cardinal during my Hawaiian Christmas vacation (back in December 2007). These birds were colourful and bright. I imagined them to be quite chirpy and happy. I loved their red plumage colour for the head and the crest, their grey wings and their white bodies. These birds were totally cute, so I decided to create a new character and named him Manu Koa.

Heheh. And yes, curling was one of the competitive sports at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.

Adorable. Totally don't understand the sport, but I know there's a lot of yelling involved.

It's a sport that requires someone to wear the most outrageous pants. Thusly why the Norwegians had everyone shouting, "Pants! Pants! Pants!"
