Kind of both... Though then, just drawn tail feathers would just make her look like a giant bird.
With six limbs, but still.

If you don't like the tail like that, you could try straightening it out, or putting more feathers on it.

Nice work!

Tried a few other "tail" designs in muh time - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2155869/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2155874/
First goes off of "decorative" rather than flight feathers, second goes from bird to reptile to insect, kind of ("feathers" like butterfly wings) - not sure if either would work for you.
