I didn't pick it up from ebay, Im well aware of fakes as I collect a lot of canine bones and parts. I got it from Zhon on deviantart.

She deals with a lot of wolf items, and also got a wolf claw from her. The tooth isn't one of the main canines, hence its smaller size.

Oh, I see. I didn't think of farms; it didn't occur to me that there would be enough profit in teeth for that. You learn something new every day, heh.

All my animal items are roadkills or natural death, I refuse to use anything else. Zhon sold this to me specifically under those agreements.

Actually, they're usually just domestic dogs.

Apparantly, most the 'Tibetan wolf teeth' actually come from dogs as a side product of the meat industry DX

Also, Ziggy, did you have to sign any papers or anything to receive the wolf teeth? I thought it was illegal to important wolf stuff to the UK, but I'm really not sure.

I also have to mention I do find that a little patronising :/ I know you probably didn't mean it like that but I have been involved in collecting teeth and claws for a long time and are very careful where I obtain them. Basically put, Im not that clueless.
. I know a lot of stupid people just get bulk coyote teeth or carved bone from ebay, I've seen them cheap on there, but I only buy from trusted sources where I can be sure they are genuine wolf teeth as I use them in spiritual work so they have to be wolf.

I've always been OCD about things being genuine :P Its a bit of a pain sometimes!

I've got some teeth I want made into a necklace, but I haven't found anyone willing to do it for me (as a commission; by 'do it for me' I don't mean I expect free jewellery). I might just try doing what you did instead.

Nice work. The wrapping is very nice. One tiny critique, either use a black or blue background for your photos next time if you can. That background is way too busy to show off the necklace properly. (it took me a dog's age to get the whole background thing right so I speak from experience)

I know, I just took them quickly to show it off, wasn't meant to be studio quality. It was the only bit of fabric I had, didn't have any solid black at the time.

I suppose it happens...I always seem to end up using my indigo shawl as a background.
