I always wondered what Soundwave would be like if he was an Autobot, so I figured I come up with an AU version of him. And with a little help from a guy I know on deviantart named wahari, here we are now.

Anyhow, this Soundwave is essentially the G1 Soundwave except as an Autobot. Having started as a Senator, he eventually became a guard under Orion Pax who, upon hearing his ideals and dreams, would follow him into the Autobot/Decepticon conflict and eventually end up on Earth. Being the capable bot that he is, Soundwave is a rather ferocious force to be reckoned with when in combat, but otherwise is rather peaceful and caring beneath his robotic demeanor, a feature that his tape-deck helpers know rather well. Each of them have their own stories to tell, but the most frequent reason they ended up in the smaller bodies that they possess was due to Soundwave giving them the bodies to save them on various occasions. Laserbeak is dutiful and serious, Ratbat, having been a senator himself in the past, is always keen on consoling others, and Ravage is Soundwave's loyal scout.

Oddly enough, even the king of the Dinobots, Grimlock, enjoys Soundwave due to how vicious he can be when he gets mad and is always waiting to see that temper bubble to the surface. Whether he be peaceful or brawling however, Soundwave always aims to make the fight against the Decepticons that much more effective for his Autobot comrades.
