So saturday i was out near the sea to do some crawling competition.
I did horribly, as was expected, but i was there to have fun with other like minded people ona pre made course!
Now what sucked? well it was my second ever competition, and first ever for the small green one, when you dont live near cliffs to crawl on its hard to test and adjust, specially when i dont own a real car,
The red one, Traxxas TRX4 Sport, new rims, old tires, new brushless motor system, added lights, winch and scale shanenigans. Noticed during competition crawling the tire setup was TERRIBLE, all it did was flip upside down. Looking into some Rock Beast crawling tires for it, and more weight in the nose, and adjust front bumper somehow.
Green one, Unimog body(made by tamiya) Chassi is a MST CFX kit, really fun, quite cheap. the tires are Carson motorsport branded, unknown quality, gripped surprisingly well on the dry quite rough cliffs. But it needs more weight down low, perhaps metal beadlock tires, not 100% sure if i will splurge in new tires for it yet or keep those. rear bumper needs fabricating and a new front bumper mount, 3d print is not sstrong, but will be replaced with aluminium one day i hope, thicker/stiffer springs in the rear too, could use the sturdiness. Anmd scale accessories and perhaps a winch one day.
Otherwise i am incredibly happy with it, so much smaller and narrower than the others tho, hah, you can see on the image its a bit smaller than the TRX4 sport, both a blessing and a curse at times..
In the end the driver needs more practice, but he is having fun so cant fault there.
