There comes a point where we have to learn to spread our wings and become independent; to mature in order to tackle what obstacle (or food) comes our way. It's not an easy transition and we also learn to change even if it's not visibly noticeable at first. And for one who would live in a fantasy rather than reality, it makes it much harder to break the chains and stereotypes that have become tagged on yourself which only make you feel ashamed or even in denial and make you question who or what you are.

Sometimes it feels like your wings are bound in chains, or have been chopped off completely and have grown to be merely a decoration on your back. Whether it be a punishment or a challenge, there is always the choice to get up and keep going. By some magic under the name of hope, our wings can grow back and unfold no matter how old we are, because we all start somewhere. Everything will be okay in the end.


A little message I've had stirring in my mind for some time that I figured would be good to share about maturity and tackling life's obstacles. And if you don't have wings, then jump, run, walk, crawl, slither, teleport or something, as long as you get to somewhere that isn't where you started and which you feel proud of achieving.
