Story:
SplitSoulSkull are skull creature with two entity in the same body.There are the owner of the body and his second souls, they can be angelic or devilish. The second entity is almost nonexistent in the beginning of their life, it can wake up because of a traumatic event and want to take control of their body.
In general the owner of the body knows how to keep control over the other soul. But if the soul is too powerful it will take control of the owner’s body.
When they take the controle, the body can change a lot, depend of the power of the soul, if they are very powerful almost everything can change except the skull type.
Angelic entity are pure soul with wishes and benevolent actions towards the owner and the other people around him. They are synonymous with happiness and luck, skulls with an angelic entity are privileged and are perfectly accepted in society.
In contrast, malefic entities have a desire for destruction, most aspire to do evil, people in possession will be excluded and persecuted all their lives, they are often put to death or abandoned in childhood for the lucky ones. The wealthy can buy an artifact to contain their second malicious soul and live like everyone else.

Biology
They are not dead animals, they are born like that.
They are viviparous. They can live up to 500 year.
They are omnivorous, but prefer flesh
They can be of all sizes. Females are thinner than males
But there are only 4 types of skulls in their species: felines, canines, deer and bird.
Felines and canine type are commun, Deer is rare and Bird are ultra rare.
They have wings and horns and they always have bones sticking out of their backs like horns . they can have multi wings, ears, eyes and tails.
their tongue can be normal or splitted.
SplitSoulSkull have an anthro and a ferals form, they can choose to be feral or not when they want.
They are very resistant and can regenerate more or less quickly.
Reproduction:

they can only reproduce between themselves or with skullsspecies but they will only give birth to SplittedSoulskulls. they usually live in families but they abandon the children likely to have an evil soul. Children must be tested using an artifact, a cup. We pour a drop of baby's blood if the water turns black, the soul is malefic and if nothing happens it is angelic.

Magic:

They have magic abilities. (Dark, light, earth, fire, water, wind,electicity, necromancy...)
they can have a dark aura when they have Dark abilities and when they are very angry and mad.
Malefic entity have Dark and shadow ability and the owner can have different ability except Light and healt ability.
Angelic entity have light and healt abilies and the owner's body can have different abilities except dark, necromancy and shadow.
All splitskull have 1ability minmum or 4 maximum without their entity.
Some skull can see the past and the futur, they are very respected by others if they are angelic and they are feared when they have a demoniac entity.
