This is prolly my favorite song I've done. It was inspired a lot by the music of Yes and Pink Floyd. I had to cut out a whole minute or so of guitar solo, and a bit of the bass solo. It's track 7 from my first album 'Axalia', a bunch of songs named after the planets in our Star System.

I love your guitar playing and mixing. I've literally got tears in my eyes from the way that I miss that late 60's guitars like The Byrds and Jimmy Hendrix... And yours.... Awfully well done! This is my first music download - ever. No joke. Good goin!
If you haven't already listened to it, I think that you would enjoy Holtz's The Planets. He was pretty wild for his time, but of course was limited by what purely mechanical instruments could do. No electric guitar (what a wonderful hybrid!) or synth, let alone multitrack editing and mixing. And filtering,,, And....
What instruments are you playing? What software tools?

I've heard some of Holtz's music, and I -did- enjoy what little bit it was. And I know what you mean about missing hearing that kinda music nowadays, it is a pity.
My equipment is as follows: Ibanez Artcore AM73 (guitar), Peavy Milestone III (bass), some kinda Yamaha workstation (a beginner's model type thing), and my acoustic at the time was an Olympia Tacoma (or something like that), and for drums/sequences I had FL studio. To mix it all I used Soundforce.
Thanks for listening.

I hate FL studio i can't do crapola in that at all, i think i did maybe two recordings ever with drums i had made in that program and they so (SUCKED) ;p
I just donno how to use that program.... (i'll probably end up double commenting as i did this comment pre-emptively as i was curious what equipment you used, regularly and since you explain it to someone else as i was skimming while the mp3 dled)
...figured why not. :P

This actually reminds me more of a Lain track from the OST.... forget the track name or number or which version of the OST it was.... but the squeely guitar sort've reminded me of that.
An floyd after they kicked syd out. :P
Now it went into something very much different.
Interesting recording. Beginning pissed me off, for some reason but otherwise it's a nice recording. ^_^
Ooooh that piano reminds me of Erik Satie!
The distortion guitar kind've pisses me off in the recording.... i donno why.
Interesting works anyways.

this is pretty sweet. you're getting some pretty nice sounding guitar tones. when the drums come in it sounds great. the bass and guitar work really well together and the organ fills things out nicely. makes a really nice warm glow.
i dunno about the tone on that piano patch, though...
