Corporal Jonathan Stork was born in 1981 (1926 Cartoonia Time) in Marietta, GA on the planet Cartoonia. His father was a country doctor, and young Jonathan decided to follow in his footsteps. About two years into his pre-medical program, the United States of Americartoonia joined the Second World War. Being 20 Anthro-avian years old at the time (Anthro-avians are the equivalent of five human years old upon hatching), Jonathan decided to enlist in the U.S. Army as a combat medic. After months of training, Pvt. Stork was deployed to the UK as part of the troop buildup there. He then saw action for the first time during the push into Toonisia in late 1942 and early 1943. By this point a PFC, Jonathan took part in Operation Husky, landing in Sicily before moving on to mainland Eataly. His unit moved up through Naples and took Rome before ending the war in the Po Valley.
After the war, Jonathan finished up his pre-medical program on the GI Bill and went through medical school proper, and he got a job as a trauma surgeon at the Disney Corporation's infirmary in 1951. At first, the job was well, with him stabilizing victims of workplace accidents before they could get to an operating room. As time went on, however, he saw Disney scientists come into his ward with strange burn marks not seen by any other doctor. Further incidents saw inpatients with a transparent but glittery residue next to their wounds, and Jonathan concluded that Disney was making powerful experimental weapons. He was right, as the residue was Disney Magic, a pale imitation of the Godbrush's reality-altering fluid. He looked for the first chance to jump ship, and he found it after the Battle of Cartoonia in 1955. He defected to the Galactic Republic as part of Operation Payday, where those dissatisfied with Disney were given the opportunity to switch sides and provide tactical information for a monetary reward. Jonathan now fights as a combat medic in the 104th Composite Unit, led by none other than Chanticleer Bluth, the hero of the Battle of Cartoonia.
