Several months back when I was brainstorming a character for my mates GURPS sci-fi campaign, I was curious if I could make a viable, horizontal character with no fine manipulators. The disadvantages in total only come out to 40 points, which isn't a whole lot considering the limitations of defending ones self and performing general party interactions with only a muzzle and paws. Thus the creation of the quadruped Kheaxnae named Do'Valirr began.
Valirr doesn't remember a lot about him self or his life before waking up in a cryo pod after 170 years. The underwater city he woke up in had clearly seen better days, having been assaulted and ransacked (probably on several occasions). Despite not having his memory, he does have a rather useful array of defensive and offensive gear (which he managed to recover). Beyond the usual sharp claws and fangs, Valirr has sub-dermal monocrys armor and hive implants consisting of terminator and repair swarms, if he happens to be caught without his heavily customized military cyber-suit. His cyber-suit sports a force rifle and a sniper grav gun that are heavily disguised so as not to be readily noticeable, even under close inspection, when not deployed. Along with an invisibility cloak.
For further defense and general quality of life, Do'Valirr also has a TL 11 combat android companion with a volitional AI.
All of his badassery didn't come without some issues though. He has a not so subtle dread of medical labs (understandable after his many procedures), his consumption requirements are higher, and he has been cursed with the eventual sudden failing of all his organs when he reaches the ripe old age of "self-destruct" (though he can rest a bit easy there as he does have a doubled life span). He's also allergic to allergy medication. And he got a bit of a side effect of lecherousness and xenophillia. It could be worse... perhaps it is worse? He doesn't know about the formidable enemies he made before time in the pod, or why they most likely want to murderate his face.
But, despite all the potential pitfalls and short-comings he has, Valirr has done pretty well. Commandeering an abandoned ship when he left the city (it's his now. It even says so in the computer), rescuing some party members along the way, and even getting some nice (but old, because newer tech is a lost thing) weaponry and accessories for his vessel.
---
He's actually been really enjoyable to play and quiet different than the usual bi-pedal anthro I would usually build. In fact I've enjoyed playing him so much, that I really wanted to get a commission of him for my character sheet and I managed to snag a slot from the very talented
