In contemplation between worlds.
I wanted to paint a bird today. Ideally a bird character I didn't know before. Avis ended up being the first one inspiring me to start painting. By the way, he's holding a phone. I tried to go a bit artsy with it. v:
He's an avian without wings, so I designed a fancy hood/coat that has a bit a wing like design with feathers over the arms. It was a fun way to spend my afternoon. (:

The tools you use for art don't matter much. What it takes to make good paintings is to have eye that see what's wrong with a picture. Technique and style just an expression of how the artist manages to be lazy, but in the end every artist does most of their work by looking at what works the least in a current piece and changing that. :D
