I know what you mean. And I know, that's my hometown. But for that age of a truck. Your alright. You can mod it a bit. It's 1970 and up that's got the be checked like that. So no worries. Plus, that's a really big motor. Are you sure not a 351 or a 302 and bore it out.

Its got a 302 at the moment but hey, thats a good idea, i'll think about boring it out to a 351 maybe.

Hehe, wouldn't that be to much boring tho? Boring it out to a 327 would be enough for that truck. It does have a short-bed right? Or is that the original bed on it? Either way, that would be enough and a positive rear end. That would be a really mean truck then. Towing and running.

My uncle has a 1985 ford F-150 with a 6-straight and a posi rear end. And I didn't know it would make that huge of a difference. Yeah it's a gas guzzler, but that sucker will pull nearly anything and built like a tank.
