The "long throw" project, was an experiment put together by some of the elders in the prime enclave.
Inspired by tales from traveling humans in the small southland port-town, the idea of exploring/spreading to distant shores across of the world
quickly became the new favorite topic at council meetings.

It was decided by a majority "the ones that screamed the most and loudest" of elders, that the yinglet race would spare some of their subjects to brave this exciting challenge.

A small preparation camp was constructed close to the port-town, and a contract with a trade route by ship was made.
And ever so slowly, small expedition groups began to dart out from the southlands, towards new shores.


Though, as time went on, an ever growing portion of the conservative elders, began to voice their displease of the project more and more.
They only ever heard again from a fraction of the groups send off, and they didn´t see it as anything but throwing away their people.
And so it was decided that the project was to be stopped after this last send-off

Two of those were-

Scintil, an unusual male yinglet forager.
And Luci, likewise, an unusual female yinglet.

Both volunteered.
Both granted permission.
