Gordey and Gretchen are both college students, Gretchen usually tutors Gordey with some grammar and public speaking, due to him learning English as a second language.
Gordey and his family moved to Vancouver from Protugal, how ever Gordey is bilangual, he can speak Portuguese and French. Gretchen and her family actually live in Vancouver, Canada, plus they're bilangual, English and French.

On their first appearance of the show, Gordey was having a hard time making new friends due to his French and Portugese accent and speaking. Only a few students know French, but they didn't want to be his friends. Gordey was sitting by himself during lunch break and a cat came by to greet him, her name was Gretchen. Later in the few episodes, we've learned that Gretchen used to like hunting and eating preys even if that means murdering them. Gordey is very forgiving to Gretchen and Gretchen is doing her best maintain her emotions between prey and predator. However, in one episode, Gretchen had to go see a doctor on her appointment, Gretchen needed to take a shot, but that shot was a syringe from Dr. Bigtoe. Bigtoe brainwashed Gretchen in order to frame her and hunt down Gordey alive.
