Scrapsplosion: Why Babs Bunny intimidates me...
She's like an art-making machine. It's as if every pic is already complete on the paper or screen, and she's just tracing it for the rest of us to see.
Finished piece (if finished) will have art from Babs on the belt, as well as a slightly more machine-like look for the bunny head.

Well, what you're seeing is the 'pre-inking' lines, I sketch out all the construction lines in 4H pencil, then sketch the image in 4H, then after that, I improve the lines with a 2H pencil, then i erase most of the still visible 4H lines.
For reference, the scale for hardness goes from XH down to 2H, H, then HB, B, 2B and on to XB. There's no real limit to the scale at either end. a #2 pencil is HB, and the more H, the harder the lead, and the lighter the lines, the more B, the softer the lead, the darker the lines, and the easier it is to smudge. I work with the hard leads because i sketch in the car during breaks and lunch at work, and the sketchbooks get jostled and rubbed a lot, so softer leads would smudge into useless blurs before I got home.
