I dunno, I've never felt like an artist. I've always felt artists are someone who have at least some emotional connection to the things they draw, and value the work in some way xD For me, drawing is more like a logic puzzle. It's muscle memory, and math, for me, mostly. I like to draw for the process and improvement, once I'm done I never look at the result again if I can avoid it. xD And nothing i do really has any emotional content or meaning for me, it's just porn. I like to think some of it's at least tasteful porn, but porn, really. And I don't care what other people say, I personally, in my opinion, dont' consider porn art xD If there's some deeper message or meaning going on maybe, but there's really nothing terribly artistic about a wolf thing sucking off a fox thing. That's just smut xD There's a difference between a picture and art, to me. I make pictures.

... im in complete agreement with you about the smut. it isn't art to me either, it's a drawing, even if an enjoyable one. i draw it myself, but i HATE it. i draw it because that's what someone requested or purchased from me. i'd stop doing it, but when i have open commissions, i can't afford to, seeing as i can't work any other way (is currently applying for disability for bipolar disorder) and if i stopped, i'd likely get no commissions from this site at all. i can see why you would feel that way if that's all you draw. have you ever tried to draw something you do connect to? also, thank you for taking the time to answer me. i always expect to be brushed aside when i ask something like that to someone.

No, no no, see, I really enjoy it myself. I love drawing the stuff, for many reasons. Firslty, a lot of people really enjoy it! And hey, there's nothing wrong with doing something that makes a lot of people happy.

Second, I don't have much of a sex life myself. Or, I should say, absolutely none. And that's a fact that won't be changing any time soon, trust me on that one. So, drawing these things is a good way for me to relieve some of the frustrations of that reality, that I can't normally. It's good clean fun, people like seeing it, I like drawing it, gets things out of my head, everybody wins.

Third, I'm actually kinda good at it. xD I sit down and think for five seconds, I've probably got a decent smutty idea I can do, that I'll can do. I don't need incredible inspiration, I never, -ever- get art blocks, it's pretty easy, it's fun... I don't really need another reason to draw. I sit down and try to think of something clean... well, clean pictures generally need a reason, a story. If they're just standing there in a sexy pose, then the pose is the point. If they're just standing there... people are gonna be confused. So they gotta be doing something, which means personality, backstory, and a lot of other stuff that I suck balls at. It's a heck of a lot easier to just draw someone... sucking balls, really xD And I enjoy it a lot more, so why not?

There's a lot of other reasons too, like I enjoy working other poeple up, always have, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the extra attention a bit... but by and large, it's just what I do. It's fun, and I'm better at it than anything else.

So, in short... no, I don't consider it art, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it, or want to do anything else. It's not art... but I still love it! x3

oh, i wasn't meaning to imply YOU didn't enjoy it, not by any means at all! i just personally don't and i have alot of reason for that i don't plan to post publicly. most people do enjoy it, but im not exactly on the normal end of things XD. also doesn't mean i don't have a problem LOOKING at it, otherwise i wouldn't be watching your gallery, now would i? lol

i think my main distaste for it is due to the fact that half my gallery was commissioned by the same person for pretty much the exact same things in different poses. VERY little variation = no fun at all. plus factor in that they are an understanding, yet not very patient person. X_X
