I’ve been on a major Gamera kick lately. The Arrow Video set has given me access to all 12 films, not to mention I really, REALLY love how much passion was put into it. And not too long before that I snagged all six of the Trendmasters Gamera figures for a damn good deal. Gamera has been kind of a big comfort blanket too in these trying times - I’ve especially been blasting GUARDIAN OF THE UNIVERSE’s soundtrack, and Gamera’s roar has such a reassuring sound to it.

Anywho, I distinctly recall when I made my Kanegon painting back in...*checks date*...back in 2018, I consulted some friends for who would be next for a black & white painting, and the top pick was Gamera. Seeing how he was basically the winner (until someone mentioned Kanegon), let’s say...I didn’t forget. ;)
