The 2003 series is the one that wasn't canon and they let Gennedy Tartokovski do his own thing.
Which was great, but wasn't reflective of how powerful the Jedi or Grievous actually were.
The CGI series is fantastic though, definitely watch it all the way through. The final few seasons are better than most of the movies at this point.
