Vanagloria is the vain glory, the eight sin as it was first mentionned by Evagrius Ponticus, the one who inspired the so famous seven sin. It's not surprising that this sin was removed, not to hurt the feelings of the monarchs, emperors and such... After all, they were the first customers of the Church, isn't it?...

As I have heard it said before, "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." And throughout history, it does seem to be a nearly consistent trend with those in power.
As to the piece here, I like. I like his people interpret how a inner struggle wold look like, thus one is very dramatic I must say. The dark Daji looks pretty damn creepy to.
